General Statements about Joel 2:
On September 22, 1823 as the Angel Moroni taught Joseph Smith, "He ... quoted the second chapter of Joel, from the twenty-eighth verse to the last. He also said that this was not yet fulfilled, but was soon to be" (JS-H 1:41).
Then in October 2001, President Gordon B. Hinckley announced,
"The vision of Joel has been fulfilled wherein he declared:
[proceeded to quote Joel 2:28–32]."(CR, October 2001, 5)
